At Ark Auto Detailing, every vehicle tells a story. This one? A 2008 black Toyota Aygo that had suffered years of abuse from automatic car washes — dull paint, swirls, grime, and neglect. With the right tools, top-tier products, and careful hands, we brought it back to life.
Here’s the full breakdown of the process:
🔧 Engine Bay Cleaning
We started under the hood, where dirt and grease had built up over time.

Degreased using Koch-Chemie Green Star

Agitated with AutoFinesse hog hair brushes

Rinsed carefully and dried safely
🚿 Pre-Wash & Wheels
We moved on to the exterior with a thorough pre-clean:

Pre-wash using Green Star to lift grime

Deep wheel clean with:
Gyeon Wheel Cleaner, Gyeon Iron, and Autoglym All Purpose Cleaner -
Door jambs cleaned with Green Star and soft detailing brushes
🧼 Contact Wash
Before touching the paint, we applied Gyeon Restart Wash, ideal for removing iron deposits and embedded contaminants.
The car was then dried with microfiber towels and blowers to prevent marring.
🔎 Paint Polishing
With the surface prepped, we masked off the trims and covered the wheels. The polishing process included:

Machine polishing with a Flex XFE 7-12 (3″)

Koch-Chemie Fine Cut compound

Aimed at removing swirls, light scratches, and reviving the depth of the black paint
✨ Paint Protection
We sealed the finish with EZ Care Quartz—a protective sealant that locks in the gloss and shields the paint from UV rays, water spots, and grime.
🧽 Interior Refresh
To complete the job, we gave the cabin a light yet effective refresh:

Vacuuming carpets and mats

Cleaning all interior plastics with Gtechniq Tri-Clean

Wiped down with soft microfiber towels
